California EP now for sale

Buy Kat Devlin’s new three-song EP California on iTunes, Amazon MP3 and Napster. The album features music inspired by Kat’s coast-to-coast move from Brooklyn, N.Y., to Santa Barbara, Calif., in late 2008.

“Carolyn,” an acoustic pop tune with soul, tells the story the fictional Carolyn, who hits the road to run away from demons that haunt her even from afar. “California,” a quick crowd favorite, sings the praises of this gorgeous sunshine state to friends back in New York. And the beautiful and heart-breaking “How Long” is written in response to the very unfortunate passage of California’s anti-gay measure Proposition 8 during the November 2008 election.
