“The Voyage Out” album release!

Kat’s first studio album, “The Voyage Out,” is OUT! Yes, the long-awaited 11-song vocally driven Celtic/country record (with a little rock and pop on the side) is available for purchase. There are a few options:

  • Buy the CD or a digital download at CDBaby. (We recommend the hardcopy CD, though. You’ll get all the lyrics and those pretty pictures).
  • Order an autographed copy of the CD directly from the Kat Devlin web site
  • Come to a Kat Devlin show (like for instance, her upcoming Santa Barbara CD release concert) and pick up a CD.
Additional digital distribution (iTunes, Amazon MP3, Napster, etc.) also will be available in the next couple of months. We’ll let you know.

You can listen to samples of all the tunes at CDBaby.

The album was recorded at Erickson Sound Labs in Buellton, Calif. The tunes range from the foot-stomping, back-porch hootenanny, “Been There Before,” to the driving rocker, “This is Just to Say,” to the sweet and twangy waltz, “Aubade.” Kat is joined on the record by a full band—Nate Keezer on drums and percussion; Bear Erickson on bass, lap steel and electric guitar; Jim Pugh on piano and organ.
